About Erlangen:

Erlangen is a city in the German state of Bavaria, located about 25 kilometers (16 miles) south of Nuremberg. It has a population of around 107,000 people and is known for its university, the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, which was founded in 1742 and is one of the oldest in Germany. The city is also known for its beautiful Baroque and Rococo architecture, as well as its numerous parks and gardens.
